Women of the New Testament

Do you ever what happened between the lines of the New Testament in the life of Jesus and his disciples? What were the women disciples thinking? Where did they go? What was their motivation to continue following Jesus and how did they change?

In her Women of the New Testament monologue series, Lexanne explores those times through the women who lived them.

These pieces can be used for varied events, including homilies, retreats, or dinner discussions. They bring to light questions for our lives as we see these women in different ways, maybe ways we hadn't considered. And they leave us, hopefully, asking more questions about our own journey.

The Magdalene

Mary Magdalene has a rich tradition that spans centuries as well as the globe. Many have claimed her as their own. Her mythologies abound. Novels, movies, and misguided declarations have portrayed the “Apostle to the Apostles” forming her into a legend, prostitute, and saint.

The Magdalene is based on the Gospel of John. The Gospels of Mary and Philip have also been drawn upon while boldly filling in the gaps of those times between what is written and the resurrection.

This is a powerful presentation to honor Mary Magdalene on her feast day of July 23 or any time when the voice of a strong woman dedicated to her new

Woman With The Flow of Blood

She took a chance, her last hope, and touched his robe. It was as if a lightening bold surged through his body. He felt her faith, the power of a women's passionate belief.

Based on the Gospel of Mark. The Woman With The Flow of Blood follows the journey of a woman banned by Law. But what she finds following the man of miracles, the law breaker, leads her to a new understanding of healing.

"Lexanne expresses such informed, well researched, and convincing representations of her characters that I find myself awakened into a new level of appreciation and awareness of the archetypes she brings to life. She is compelling, mystical, and authentic in her embodiment of the women she is portraying."
